This year’s Prothoma Borshoboron was a grand success, with over 500 people in attendance! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate.
We’ve heard rave reviews about everything—the delicious food, vibrant cultural performances, beautiful decorations, wonderful shopping experience, and of course, our cherished tradition, the Pithe Puli Utsav. It truly was a jam‑packed event where Bengalis from across the Bay Area came together to welcome the Bengali New Year with great food, heartfelt adda, and joyful celebration.
A huge thank you to all our volunteers, sponsors, performers, participants, and members for your continued support and dedication. Events like this are only possible because of your passion and commitment to our community.

This Kali Pujo, was our 5th. And the last event of the year, we celebrated all those who have made Prothoma what it is and all the volunteers who have worked tirelessly all year to make our events happen.
Durga Puja was an amazing experience
From new Protima to our tradition of writing a new song. Prothoma knocked it out of the park
Prothoma Membership 2026-27 is now open!
We host Durga Pujo, Kali Pujo, Saraswati Pujo, Borsho Boron and Summer Picnic every year, Durga Pujo being our flagship event spanning 3 days. This year we are thrilled to host a spectacular live performance by renowned Bollywood playback singer Ash King, whose songs have collectively garnered hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. His chart‑topping hits and electrifying stage presence promise an unforgettable evening.
Adding to the celebration, we will also feature a live performance by the immensely popular Bengali singer Durnibar Saha, whose soulful music has won hearts across audiences.
